Quality Policy

The Maritime Professional Institute of Panama is committed to providing educational opportunities to all students and training of seafarers. Providing services that meet or exceed the needs of our clients and our community, in:

 

  • Offering training services, programs and/or structured courses based on course guides, international norms and standards, which guarantee the quality of the training processes.

 

  • Providing development tools for national and foreign human resources, in accordance with the needs of the maritime industry, technological advances, maritime norms and regulations.

 

  • Ensuring that training programs and/or courses comply with the requirements applicable to current resolutions, IMO model books and the international convention on training, certification and watchkeeping standards for seafarers STCW 1978 amended.

 

  • Ensure that services are provided by academically qualified and technically competent staff members seeking to achieve levels of performance that enhance the image of the training center, through continuous improvement of our quality management system.

 

  • Mitigate the impact of climate change from the services we offer, maintaining a policy of awareness of environmental care, recycling and the rational use of resources used in our center.

Quality Objetives

  • Provide maritime training services based on training guides, national regulations, and the amended 1978 STCW international convention, with the help of competent instructors and teachers.

 

  • To develop human resources by putting their knowledge into practice in the national industry, based on the demonstration of skills and abilities of our higher technical students.

 

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by offering them international quality training, staying at the forefront in the development of training courses and updating them in accordance with the requirements of the International Maritime Organization.

 

  • Develop the annual programming of the Quality Management System.

 

  • Raise awareness among our collaborators about the importance of caring for the environment and the rational use of resources that affect climate change.
