MARITIME PROFESSIONAL INSTITUTE OF PANAMA

Maritime Bachelor

High School - Maritime and Science Technology Program

Maritime Professional Institute of Panama - High School was established in 2018 with one class of ninth grade students.

High School students also participate in multiple opportunities in marine science and experiential learning.

A unique integration of subject areas allows students to creatively apply their knowledge to practical situations.

Hands-on learning is emphasized in both classroom and field trip experiences.

These field trips give students unique hands–on learning experiences. Students can interact with marine life and the natural environment. Students learn about protecting endangered animals, why we need to stop destroying coral reefs and natural habitats, which is importan to our oceans, and how human life is tied to our oceans.

The initiative to implement this learning method was born from the need to improve and contribute every day to the progress of maritime careers with the aim of training students capable of facing higher studies and facing with greater efficiency and effectiveness the demands of the national and international maritime labor market.
